Publisher Gravity Interactive has announced that Ragnarok Online would be free to play now. It is a fast paced massively multiplayer online role playing game played from third person perspective. The game was first released on August 31, 2002 in South Korea for PC exclusively but since then it has continually kept on releasing in other countries as well. In United States it got released on June 1, 2003 while nearly a year later it got released in India and other parts of the world as well. To play Ragnarok Online free game, your system needs to be capable of very minimal requirements only. Even out of date system can easily play Ragnarok Online for free.

Since its evolution, the developers have kept on bringing new improvements to it. The game is divided into a series of maps each loaded with their own terrain and monsters. Monsters are not allowed to transport from one map to another. The game has three major playing nations. These are Rune Midgard where all players actually starts at, an industrialized Schwart Republic in the North, and Arunafeltz, a region modeled after the Turkey and Israel together. Then there is a jobs system in the Ragnarok Online which plays important role through out the game. Players strengths and abilities depends upon the kind of job they choose for themselves. Packed with 13 classes initially, the series of updates have brought in more than 50 classes till date.

Though the game is licensed by Gravity in South Korea, but number of regional releases has been brought by different publishers in other parts of the world. The company has also released the mobile version of the game. As told above, Ragnarok Online is free to play now. So this means that you can play Ragnarok online free without paying any subscription fees. However you still have to subscribe to the game though for free only.
