Wap Question : How do we get charged on when downloading ?
I am new to WAP. I just enquired with my mobile service provider and they told they give unlimited browsing for a fixed monthly charge. They also told I have to pay extra for downloading games, ringtones etc. My question is it related to sites from where I download games ? I heard there are are sites where the games can be downloaded free like Getjar\.com, will I get charged accessing this site also ? If I have a personal site and I visit to download some files from it, will they charge ?
Or to rephrase the question How are mobile phone company monitoring downloading ? Is it by tie up with various sites like yahoo mobile etc or do they monitor the contents downloaded through network for charging ?
No dude there is no such tie up. If u download games from the home site(it belongs to ur service provider)u will be charged Yes the downloads are monitored for security purposes. If u want the sites offering free downloads they are
