3G usb mobile broadband slow on full signal?

Is there any good(the best that actually works) program that makes the internet speeds(download + upload) A LOT faster, or any tweaks for windows? I got google chrome and it help a little not alot, it says on the desktop taskbar that is going 3.1Mbps but when i go to view the status it says “speed 230.4Kbps!!!” is there a way to make it go 54Mbps(like my old internet AT&T?) or at least faster than 3.1Mbps (320.4Kbps)??

First off, go to Speedtest.net and run a test there. That will give you the actual speed. On Sprint 3G the fastest you can go is 3.1Mbps…but don’t ever expect it that fast. It will usually be 600K to 1.5Mbps on a good signal. 4G will get up to the 5-10Mbps range if you have a 4G device in a 4G area. There is no magic software that will make it go any faster than the network allows.
