HTC HD2 or mytouch 3G slide?
What i like on a phone is easy texting, fast browser.
I usually watch movies and listen to music.
I saw that hd2 has 16gb sd so thats good and a big screen for videos.
mytouch has a keyboard and swype too.
I also heard windows mobile is bad.
which one?
I am a tmobile customer and i cant change that (that means iphone is out of the question and i am not really a fan)
What i look for a phone is fast web browsing that supports videos to be played (youtube)
i also want easy texting (both have swype but mytouch has keyboard.)
i also want to replace my ipod nano with one of them but which one is a better mp3 player/ video player for movies.
I like to put games on them too and i saw that hd2 supports a PS1 emulator so that is cool.
which one should i get?
The HD2 is a beautiful piece of hardware with crappy software. Windows Mobile 6.5 is a dead OS and the HD2 won’t be updated to Windows Phone 7 so the phone was obsolete before it came out. It’s not a huge deal if you don’t care about having the latest apps and stuff like that, but if you do, steer clear. However, if you’re life is tightly integrated with Microsoft (i.e. Windows, Exchange, Office) then the HD2 is probably the better choice.
On the other hand, the MyTouch Slide looks like a plastic piece of crap, but it has Android 2.1 and T-Mobile has already announced that it will be upgraded to 2.2. It may look like a Fisher-Price toy, but at least you’ll have the latest software. In addition, if you live your life in the cloud, an Android phone is a better bet than a WinMo phone. Also, if you have a Mac, you’ll have an easier time using your computer with the MyTouch Slide than the HD2.
Ultimately, it’s up to you. Go to your local T-Mobile store and mess with both of them. That way you’ll get a better idea of what they both have to offer and you can formulate your own opinion.
