Is an Android tablet a PDA?
I am starting the nursing program at Indiana University and one of the requirements is to have a PDA that will run Unbound Medical Software and must have a 42 MB minimum. The informational flyer that was given says that the Nursing Central Package can be installed on most Palm, Windows Mobile (Pocket PC), Android, Blackberry, and iPhone/iPod Touch Devices.
I have my eye on an Android tablet that I really want but Im not sure if it is technically a PDA.
So are tablets considered PDA’s?
If so, any suggestions on which tablet would be best for the nursing program with these requirements?

It should be fine. Just compare software requirements with device specs of your choice. My peference would be with windows mobile operating system.
