building mobile applications for java? ?

i want to develop a application for my mobile phone in java, any books recommendations ? i’ve looked at “wireless java” from O’Reilly Media, not sure if this is what i need. please help.

The develper kit for mobile is JavaME — a subset of Java Standard Edition. Wireless Java might give insight about deployment, but I suspect without having read the book, that JavaME is the architecture used.

NetBeans offers a tutorial for a mobile phone game using JavaME. See if that is the direction you want to investigate.
