i dont know nothing about GPS & all….how to get GPS signals?how do i knw that i m getting GPS signals or not?what r maps?how to use them?navigation?navgation softwares?
i m living in QATAR,i have a mobile SAMSUNG OMNIA HD i8910,after searching along,i’ve downloaded MAPS & a navigation software GARMIN,after installing them,what exactly i have to do?will it use GPS or GPRS?will it cost?

Hi, just call your operator and request for the settings to be sent to you. Once you receive your settings, save them and reboot your phone and you’re good. Even if they do not have automatic settings for you, they can do it manually if you ask them.
It really depends on the type of GPS you are using, some real time ones need GPRS, the offline types just requires GPRS when it downloads maps for future use. You need to check with the developers.
