How much better will smartphones be by the end of summer 2011?

I was thinking about getting a Samsung Galaxy S. But I might just wait. I’ve never had a smartphone before. Will the processors be a lot faster than 1 GHz? What will be different?

I’d be willing to bet that processor will be faster, but the question is how much faster? Don’t know if it would be worth the wait or not. I don’t know that processors a year from now will be that much more faster to make it worth the wait myself. I’m a big fan of the Galaxy S myself and will be getting one as soon as it’s available to me. Either way you decide, good luck and have fun with your choice.
